What if PR Stood for People and Relationships?

By on Monday, October 6, 2014

I love the concept behind a new ebook from Brian Solis – what if PR equaled people and relationships? I have always believed in the idea of relational media relations – that clients/organizations benefit from cultivating long-term relationships with journalists. And I think you have to take it further – and recognize that today’s PR is about nurturing a reputation for the long haul and recognizing how technology is changing how we communicate. It’s not about chasing the next big thing in marketing or the next big shiny object as Solis puts it – it’s about embracing the tools that help you nurture relationships, connect with real people, and share your story.
